Since God created us in his image, mankind has been on a quest to remake God in our own image – we want God to be like us, instead of the other way around.

In John 1:43-51, Nathanael finds Jesus, being from Nazareth, to fall short of his expectations, at least until he meets him. When Nathanael finally meets Jesus, the encounter makes him realize Jesus is far more than he imagined.

Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?”
