In John 14, Jesus reminds his disciples that he’s not merely pointing them in the way of truth and life…he IS the way, he IS the truth, and he IS the life. Jesus then connects this to knowing him, validating that he is not interested in “transactional” religion, but that God is deeply committed to a real relationship with us.
