In Hebrews 12, it says that Jesus was able to endure the shame of the cross for the joy set before him. What was this amazing joy that helped Jesus endure?
Leaving Christianity to return to Judaism would be a mistake for the Jewish Christians suffering persecution in Rome. The Hebrew writer challenges them to not make the mistake their ancestors did in the desert with Moses, which resulted in hardness of heart.
